    Finely curled leaves, vigorous plant. Used for baby leaf or processing. Does not regrow as well as a hybrid.

  • Blue Scotch Kale (Treated Seed Sized)

    OP standard. A hardy, blue-green plant that does not turn yellow in cold weather. This is the original curly leaf kale with stems radiating from a central stalk. If you are cutting smaller leaves or not stripping, this is a nice standard kale. It will not regrow well like hybrid kale. Sized seed comes from our preferred source, Sakata, and is recommended if you are growing full-sized plants. Unsized seed is appropriate for baby and teenage kale.

    A very nice improvement over generic Red Russian. This strain has a finer cut to the leaf and shows a bit more color for more of the year. It is more vigorous than Red Russian and very slow bolting.

    Slow-growing jagged-green leaves. 12-14″ tall plants with light blue-green leaves and ruffled margins. Cold tolerant and more tender than other kales. Siberian Dwarf is minutely hairy so not a good choice for baby leaf. It has a good mustardy flavor and very vigorous.
