It tastes good raw and holds its color when cooked. It shows sufficient heat tolerance to be used in a spring seeding. The plant is large and strong.

    DePurple produces a large, heavy head with early maturity. The florette stems are white and are very attractive when cut. Some heat tolerance and works in early spring sowing and fall. It tastes good raw and holds its color reasonably well when cooked. While in spring DePurple is a vivid dark purple, but it may be more lavender colored when maturing in cool weather. Handle the heads carefully at harvest to avoid bruising.
