SW 8000
Proven conventional for full season use. Healthy for wide adaptation including the deep south. Attractive seed pricing, well adapted to all soil types, and above average native insect tolerance at no extra cost. Handles the southern disease complex well and fits the tough acre.
-
SW 8009 3110 & SW 8009 VIP3111
Same base genetics as SW 8000 above with the addition of VIP 3110 trait package. Fits southern PA to the Deep South. Southern adapted disease response and toughness under stress, including heat stress. Nice late season health enables extra silage acres to roll over to high moisture or dry shell corn harvest.
-
SW 8109 3000GT
Strong grain and silage performance in full-season hybrid, including the deep south. Well adapted from southern PA to Florida and the Coastal US to the eastern corn belt. A very full season hybrid with northern limits. Maryland and northward grain drydown slows noticeably, though yield is maintained. Exceptional late season health contributes to slower drydown, though an asset in the mid and deep south.

SW 8109 3000GT
Full season yield with fully supporting plant health and season ending staygreen. Suited for high residue “corn after corn” production. High row count 16-18 row ears with deep kernels for high grain content silage. Combines Northern Corn Leaf Blight and Gray Leaf Spot resistance.

SW 8400
Earliest conventional option with strong agronomics and consistent performance across environments and soil types for grain or silage. A good-sized plant sports an ear with flex positioned at a more moderate height and produces high quality forage. Ears hang out between the rows with husks that flare open to reveal well-filled tips with predictable drydown and solid test weight. Strong out of the ground with solid stalks and roots plus plant intactness right through harvest. Optimum performance on the more moderate yield acre with a good supporting plant population and keep North.

SW 8555SS (RIB)
Super early SmartStax® RIB Complete® hybrid that was built for the North Country. Products that pass muster for both grain and silage in this maturity and also offer both above and below ground insect protection are hard to come by. Excellent yields of good quality grain and husks that flare open at maturity to accelerate drydown for the grain grower. The large plant provides ample tonnage for the dairy producer. Strong out of the ground for planting in those chilly soils that often come in these markets. Well suited for both the moderate and high yield acre and where corn follows corn. Only available in a SmartStax® RIB Complete® technology trait package.
